Light. Matter. Vision.

Light. Matter. Vision.

An architect and artist, deBibis (born Bibi Frusciante) has always explored the intersection of structure and intuition, between the rigor of design and the freedom of creative gesture.
Her research is a dance of light and matter, a journey through architecture, color, form, and perception.

Educated at IUAV in Venice and at the Polytechnic University of Barcelona — where she collaborated with Enric Miralles on the Spanish Embassy in Berlin — deBibis further deepened her structural sensitivity through a Master’s program in Special Structures Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano, strengthening her understanding of form, material behaviour, and architectural resilience.

This combined foundation in architecture, engineering, and artistic experimentation has shaped a vision in which art is not decoration, but a sensorial and conceptual experience.

Where matter meets light and emotion is born

Each of her works is born from the encounter between the solidity of architecture and the lightness of intuition. Surfaces, materials, transparencies, and stratifications become emotional spaces: territories where light settles, vibrates, and reveals new depths.

About

Today, under the stage name deBibis, the artist undergoes a transformation: she abandons the boundary between art and design to create a personal language, one of balance, rhythm, and continuous exploration. Her creations speak of energy, silence, and metamorphosis—an invitation to look beyond form, toward what vibrates within us.
